Dentist with special interest in dental implants, orthodontics and ceramic restorations.

Dr. Taehee Lee graduated from University of Otago Dental school in New Zealand in 2004.

Since his graduation in 2004, Dr. Lee pursued his special interests in dental implants, orthodontics and CAD CAM computer generated ceramic restorations using CEREC® system.

He was the first dentist to introduce CEREC® and dental implants surgery in South Gippsland and spent well over 2000 hours of continuing dental education in this area over last 10 years (that is 10 times more than what Australian dentists legally required to do).

He completed Australian Society of Implant Dentistry (ASID) accreditation program in 2009 and 2 year-long Progressive Orthodontic Seminar program in 2012 and became a Fellow of International College of Continuing Dental Education (FICCDE)

Dr. Taehee Lee strongly believes in the importance of continuing education to deliver the best care for his clients and is currently doing a part-time study and research at Goethe University in Frankfurt Germany to gain Master in Oral Implantology degree. He is currently working on Master thesis on dental implants.

He is also a father of two twin boys William and Edward and out side of work he plays soccer and has interests in history and modern physics.

Dr Dean (Sung Wook) Kim
BDS


Dentist with special interest in comprehensive restorative and aesthetic (cosmetic) dentistry.

Dr. Dean Kim obtained his dental degree from University of Otago with credit, in New Zealand.
After obtaining his dental degree, he worked as a dental and maxillofacial house surgeon in a public hospital, and also in private practices in New Zealand, and has joined South Gippsland Dental Clinic in 2012.

Dr. Kim strongly believes that a beautiful form relates to harmonious function in nature. His passion in dentistry is towards maintaining and/or restoring the natural beauty and harmony of the teeth and the smile. In his clinic, he enjoys treating complex aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of the mouth, applying both well researched traditional techniques as well as the most recent innovative ones. Giving respect to nature, he adopts minimally invasive approaches in application of veneers, crowns, bridges and CAD-CAM restorations(computer generated ceramic restorations using CEREC®).

He is a firm believer that learning never ends, and is also heavily involved in continuing education. He travels internationally for higher education and training, and he has successfully completed the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD)’s accreditation exam, and also a Royal Australasian Academy of Dental Surgeon’s primary exams with distinction. Currently he is undergoing through Master’s degree in Aesthetic Dentistry, through King’s College London.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kim enjoys gardening, travelling, and photography. He is also well versed in saxophone and clarinet.
